Amirhossein Asadi
I am a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, at North Carolina State University, supervised by Prof. Nitin Sharma in the Neuromuscular Control and Robotics Laboratory. My research focuses on learning-enabled control of nonlinear robotic systems with formal safety guarantees. I combine reinforcement learning and model predictive control with control barrier functions and reachability analysis, with applications to legged robots and human-interactive robots such as lower-limb exoskeletons.
Before coming to NC State, I received my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, where I worked with Prof. M. H. Korayem in the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at the intersection of control theory and reinforcement learning, building dynamic models and learning-enabled controllers for wheeled-legged and flexible manipulators.
